Christians Need The Gospel - Food for Beaten Sheep

Welcome! The Gospel is more than a basic introduction to Jesus and an invitation to believe. It's the presentation of everything Christ is to us, both now and eternally. He is everything in the Christian life, and as we grow in knowledge of Him, we see this truth.

However, Christianity's confusing doctrines can hinder our view of Christ and our ability to stand in grace. We heard that Jesus saves, but we were also given demands that turned salvation into a debt, not a gift. Many feel weighed down by debt, fear, and depression, believing they must earn God's peace, presence, and comfort while avoiding punishment.

The good news is that God wants to bring us back to the source—the riches of Christ as the Gospel. Christ is our Savior, righteousness, wisdom, sanctification, and life! We don't have to earn or maintain these blessings; we simply look to Him.

God's purpose is to display Christ in His church, the essence of grace. Whether you prefer video, teaching, fellowship, or books, my goal is to provide content that helps you appreciate all that Christ is. Let's journey together and discover the amazing riches of the Gospel.

The Riches of Christ

Christ is not merely the one who saves us. He is our righteousness, our sanctification, our wisdom, our life, and our inheritance. As we grow in the knowledge of Him, we discover that the Christian life is not sustained by effort, fear, or self-measurement, but by seeing Him as He is.

Much of Christianity has obscured this simplicity. What was given as a gift has been turned into a system of demands. Salvation is preached, but peace is withheld. Grace is confessed, yet believers are left striving—burdened by fear, guilt, and uncertainty.

God is bringing us back to the source: the riches of Christ Himself as the gospel. This site provides unified access to teaching shaped by a grace-centered, Pauline understanding of God's eternal purpose.

Whether through teaching, writing, audio, or study tools, everything here is aimed at helping you see Christ more clearly—and to rest in what God has already accomplished in Him.

In addition to the free material available here, we also offer ebooks (name-your-price), print books, audiobooks, and digital tools that support this ongoing teaching work.

Everything exists for one purpose: to point you back—not to yourself, not to systems, not to striving—but to Christ Himself, who is everything God has given us in grace.

About David Benjamin

David Benjamin is a Bible teacher, writer, and musician who has been teaching publicly for several years through his work at Christians Need The Gospel.

His teaching is rooted in a grace-based, Pauline understanding of the gospel, with an emphasis on Christ's finished work, the believer's union with Christ, and the eternal purpose of God revealed through the apostle Paul. Central themes include sonship, inheritance, rest, assurance, and the believer's placement in Christ — not as ideals to strive toward, but as realities already given in Him.

David's approach is shaped by careful attention to Scripture, context, and the internal logic of Paul's letters, rather than trends or reactionary theology. The aim of his teaching is not information or argument, but clarity — to settle the conscience and return the focus to Christ Himself.

In addition to his teaching work, David is a professional pianist and composer with decades of experience in performance and arrangement. That background informs the tone of his ministry as well, with an emphasis on pacing, attentiveness, and the difference between performance and presence.

David has been a believer for over thirty years. He is married and the father of two children. His work is shaped not only by study and teaching, but by the ordinary realities of family life, responsibility, and faith lived outside institutional pressure.
